The Faculty of Engineering & Applied Sciences (FEAS) was established in January 1998 to carry forward the mission of the Islamic International Medical Trust by augmenting the national effort in the field of technical education and assisting in the establishment of institutions dedicated to impart education in engineering disciplines and technologies. The Islamic International Engineering College is a constituent College of International University. Health Sciences has been the hall mark of Riphah International University. Keeping in view the vision of the founding fathers of IIMC Trust and the unique multi-discipline educational environment of RIU such as Medical College, Teaching Hospitals, FEAS launched the Biomedical Engineering Program in 2009.

As far as the Department is concerned, academic standards and practical work are the two key parameters. The Department of EE has a fine blend of renowned as well as young and dynamic personalities as faculty, who are involved in imparting quality education. All PhD faculty members of EE are foreign qualified. The faculty strives to foster and encourage a teaching methodology that enables strong theoretical foundation leading to a hands-on practical approach. This orientation has led to successful projects and training’s.

The lab facilities are annually upgraded and provide state of the art tools and equipment for the students to learn and innovate. The Department is fully equipped with all the labs required for the curriculum such as Electronics Lab, Electrical Machines Lab, Signal Processing Lab, Communication Lab, Control Systems Lab, Computer Lab, Measurement and Instrumentation Lab, and Design Project Lab etc.

For the extra curriculum activities, Departmental society has been established by the students. This society regularly conducts various technical and cultural events. “Engineers are the creators of the new world”. Going with these lines, the Department has the fully equipped Project lab to encourage the students to show their creativity. Educational tours and industrial visits are regularly organized to enhance the practical knowledge of the students and enable them to interact with the recent technologies used in the industries.

Message from HOD

I welcome all of my prospective students to the Electrical Engineering (EE) Department, FEAS. I believe, technical education serves as a bridge between academics and professional careers. Besides, providing cutting-edge technical education, we, at RIPHAH, also focus on personality development for the competitive years ahead. At one end, our students pass through a rigorous academic system in compliance with Washington Accord, while we keep the balance by providing them opportunities for various co-curricular activities; which in turn grooms the overall personality of our students. As far as the Department is concerned, academic standards and practical work are the two key parameters. The Department of EE has a fine blend of renowned as well as young and dynamic personalities as faculty, who are involved in imparting quality education. The faculty strives to foster and encourage a teaching methodology that enables a strong theoretical foundation leading to a hands-on practical approach.
